Permanent Part-time Office Assistant/Deputy Clerk

The Village of Breckenridge is currently accepting applications for one permanent part time Office Assistant/Deputy Clerk.  Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.  A high school diploma, along with prior work experience in business and/or marketing is preferred.  Experience in customer service and the skills to effectively communicate with the public are required. 

 

Applications can be picked up at the Breckenridge Village Office.  Applications are due Friday, February 17, 2017 by 4pm.

Joint Meeting Scheduled

The Village of Breckenridge Council and the Wheeler Township Board will be holding a joint meeting on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 6:00pm at the Wheeler Township Hall. 

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and update the Breckenridge-Wheeler Fire/Rescue Agreement, Sewer Agreement, Assessing, and any other topics of discussion.

The Village of Breckenridge is 1.07 square miles of land in the middle of Michigan's agricultural heartland.  We are located in Wheeler Township, within Gratiot County.  

The village was founded when the Pere Marquette Railroad came through the area and incorporated as a village in 1908.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

March 13, 2017

Notice is hereby given that the Breckenridge Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on March 13, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. to give and receive information on a proposed “Special Use Permit” for an auxiliary parking lot owned by Breckenridge Insurance Agency at 317 Main Street. This hearing will be held at the Village Hall located at 104 E. Saginaw Street, Breckenridge, Michigan.  Further information on this subject matter may be secured at the office of the Village Clerk.

 

The Village of Breckenridge will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting upon 15 days notice to the Village Office. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services should contact the Village Office by writing or calling the Village Clerk, at 104 E. Saginaw St., Breckenridge, Michigan or at 989-842-3109.
