BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED
December 1, 2016

 It is no longer necessary to use boiled or bottled water for drinking or cooking.

 On November 30th you were notified of the need to boil all tap water used for drinking and cooking.  Corrective measures have been taken and no coliform bacteria have been detected in follow-up testing of the systemís water. The water is safe to drink.  We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Village of Breckenridge Election Results

The Village of Breckenridge elected positions were held on November 8, 2016 at the Wheeler Township Hall. 

     Charles D. Seeley is re-elected as Village President for a 2 year term.

        Linda Chapin, Heidi Aldrich and Brian Wenzel were elected to the Village Council for 4 year terms.

        Lawrence J. Schmitz, Charlotte Simmons, Sally L. Geuder, and David J. Wardell were all re-elected to serve on the Howe Memorial Library Board of Directors.

 A Special Thank You to Tim Schaub and Nan Clapp for their years of service on the Breckenridge Village Council.

Now Accepting Credit/Debit Card Payments

 
The Village of Breckenridge is now accepting credit and debit card payments for water/sewer bills online or in the office.

A $1.50 convenience fee will be charged to each transaction. If you have any questions please contact the Village Office at 989-842-3109.

The Village of Breckenridge

 

The Village of Breckenridge is 1.07 square miles of land in the middle of Michigan's agricultural heartland.  We are located in Wheeler Township, within Gratiot County.  

The village was founded when the Pere Marquette Railroad came through the area and incorporated as a village in 1908.
