PFAS in drinking water has been in the news a lot these days. PFAS are a class of organic chemicals that are fire resistant and repel stains, oil, grease and
water. They have been manufactured since the 1950's and have been used in numerous industrial processes and consumer reports, such as fire-fighting foams,
stain repellants, nonstick cookware, waterproof clothing and fast food wrappers.
Breckenridge drinking water was tested for PFAS in August of 2018 and the results came back Non Detect.
