Village of Breckenridge
Special Meeting
January 23, 2008

A special meeting of the Breckenridge Village Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Buchanan at the Breckenridge High School Media Center.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  Roll Call was taken by Clerk/Treasurer Eichorn.

Councilpersons Present:  Anderson, Chapin, Hagey, Maurer, Schaub and Schrems
Councilpersons Absent:   None
Staff Present:  Manager Schmitz, Clerk/Treasure Eichorn

Motion by Councilperson Schaub, seconded by councilperson Anderson, to approve the agenda.  CARRIED. 

Public Comments were received.

Motioned by councilperson Hagey, seconded by councilperson Schrems, to extend the Village Managers contract.  Roll Call Vote. Yeas: Hagey, Maurer and Schrems.  Nays: Anderson, Chapin, Schaub and Buchanan.  NAYS CARRIED.

Motioned by councilperson Schaub, seconded by councilperson Anderson to not renew the Managers Contract.  Roll Call Vote. Yeas: Chapin, Schaub, Schrems, Buchanan and Anderson.  Nays: Hagey, Maurer and Schrems.  YEAS CARRIED.

Motioned by councilperson Schaub, seconded by councilperson Chapen that the manager be notified in writing that his contract will not be renewed, and be delivered by certified mail.  Roll Call Vote. Yeas: Chapin, Schaub, Schrems, Buchanan and Anderson.  Nays: Hagey, Maurer and Schrems.  YEAS CARRIED.

Public Comments were received.

Councilperson Maurer, Hagey and Schrems resigned from council as of January 24, 2008. 

Meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
